Dr. Akshra Pahuja is a highly skilled Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon with advanced training from the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. She completed her MBBS from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, followed by MD in Ophthalmology at AIIMS, New Delhi and served as an Ex-Senior Resident in the Department of Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Services at the same institute. Her academic credentials are further strengthened by the FAICO (Refractive Surgery) qualification and the internationally recognized Certificate of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK). With over seven years of experience, Dr. Akshra specializes in advanced cataract surgery( over 10,000+) including Femto-Cataract, laser vision correction, corneal transplantation, keratoconus management (including CAIRS), and complex anterior segment surgeries. She is proficient in modern refractive procedures such as Femto-LASIK, SMILE/CLEAR (Lenticule Extraction), PRK, and phakic IOL implantation, as well as advanced corneal surgeries including penetrating and lamellar keratoplasty. She has extensive experience managing complex cataract cases and has successfully performed over 500 paediatric cataract surgeries, including in infants as young as three months of age.
